PrepForge — Privacy Policy
PrepForge (“PrepForge”, “we”, “our”, or the “App”) is a study application for competitive-exam aspirants. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using PrepForge you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account with email & password or with Google Sign-In, we collect your email address and, from Google, your display name and basic profile info. You may also use the App as an anonymous guest, in which case no personal identifiers are collected.
- Study data you generate. Mock-test attempts and scores, study-session durations (Pomodoro), streaks, daily study goals, and the analytics derived from them. This is linked to your account so your progress syncs across sessions and devices.
- App preferences. Reminder times, language, and timer settings. These are stored on your device and, where relevant, in your account.
We do not collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, advertising identifiers, health data, or financial/payment data. PrepForge contains no ads and no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
2. How we use your information
- Create and sync your account and study progress.
- Show your stats, streaks, and performance analytics.
- Send the local study reminders you opt into (these are scheduled on your device; they are not push notifications sent from our servers).
- Maintain, secure, and improve the reliability of the App.
3. Where your data is stored & the services we use
We rely on the following third-party service providers to operate the App:
- Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore), operated by Google LLC — stores your account and study data on Google’s infrastructure. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Expo Application Services (EAS Update), operated by Expo — delivers over-the-air app updates. The update check may transmit non-identifying device and app-version information. See Expo’s Privacy Policy.
- Content delivery (jsDelivr / GitHub) — serves static question images. No personal data is sent to these services.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Your data is shared only with the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the App, and where we are required to do so by law.
5. Data retention & deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing candysofthelp@gmail.com; we will delete it within 30 days of your request. Anonymous guest data is not tied to a personal identifier and is removed when the guest session ends or the app is uninstalled.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access to stored data is restricted by Firebase security rules, so each user can read and write only their own records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Children’s privacy
PrepForge is intended for competitive-exam aspirants (generally 16 and older). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at candysofthelp@gmail.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date, and material changes will be communicated in the App where appropriate.
